Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas arrived in Miami today, following a $115 million bow to stern upgrade that brought new features includes water slides, dining venues, activities and more.
Royal Caribbean invited us to join the ship for a two-night crew shakedown sailing that tested out some of the new additions onboard, while completing work in other areas.
Here is a rundown of many of the changes, large and small, to Navigator of the Seas.
New water slides
The Blaster – the cruise line’s first aqua coaster and the longest waterslide at sea propels thrill seekers through more than 800 feet of dips, drops and straightaways that extend over the side of the ship.
Riptide – the industry’s only headfirst mat racer waterslide, complete with an exhilarating finish through a translucent tube for endless ocean views.
The Blaster waterslide will not be ready for guests on March 1, although the cruise line expects to open it during that sailing. The Riptide, FlowRider, Basketball court and RockWall are open and ready for our firsts guests on March 1.

Royal Caribbean also refreshed its staterooms with new carpeting, couches and other room style upgrades.
Suite lounge
Suite lounge is now located on Deck 14 where the Diamond Lounge was previously. The Diamond Lounge has moved down to Deck 5 near the Star Lounge (formerly the Cigar Lounge).
Laser tag in Studio B
Mini Golf
Mini golf has moved to the front of the ship.
Casino
Casino Royale also recieved upgrades, that include new decor and carpeting.
Starbucks
A new Starbucks kiosk was added on Deck 4 across from Boleros.

The souvenir ship model has been updated as well.
Beginning Friday, March 1, Navigator will sail 5- and 9-night Caribbean itineraries through May 2019. The ship will then set course for The Bahamas with 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday cruises, which include stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
