  3. What about the Singapore home port from October 25 - March 26? Is this unaffected? We are booked on a New Years Cruise on Ovation, and have not heard any news, so hoping this only affects US summer sailings in 2025...
  4. Just going to round this off with the conclusion if anyone in the future has the same question and uses search. check in was midnight- U.K. time as the ship departs Southampton U.K. It was at 45 days. APP for us in the U.K. showed the incorrect date, ie 24th not 25th. As APP shows USA time, so check in opened there 5pm ( Eastern) which was 24th, and equals U.K. Midnight. Check in popped up a few minutes after midnight.
  5. This is from my research. In your case I believe you would only need a single entry because you are only entering the country one time. The ship will be running down the coast to get to the second port and not going out to international waters. These are great sites about Vietnam Visa and another about the visa requirements. Vietnam visa multiple entry or single? All answers are here! - AN Tours Vietnam https://antoursvietnam.com/vietnam-visa-guide-2024/ https://antoursvietnam.com/tours-from-phu-my-port-travel.../
  6. I am not saying i know but I would try checking in at 7:00 or 8:00 pm EST. The Jewel is currently in England.
  7. @Sharla Did the Suite Concierge reach out to you a week prior, like they do with Grand Suites and higher?
  8. No La Bamba this time We are flying to Orlando tomorrow. And on the 2nd when we make our way to Fort Lauderdale to hop on Reflection, there won’t be time for La Bamba. I am going to try to drag @Jax there in December @SMOKEY0202 it will be somewhere you won’t expect….if delta gets us there in time
  9. I remember reading somewhere that Royal has concluded ships much larger than Icon don't make much business sense. Probably due to a combination of operation and passenger booking requirements on larger than Icon ships. I'm looking forward to the inevitable articles from non-cruiser reporters comparing Carnival's latest and largest to Royal's newest and smallest (of recent builds). Then the article comments from non-cruisers commanding Royal for going small while Carnival's gone huge. Should be fun with a stiff drink.
  10. We only sail from Cape Liberty because I have a serious flying phobia and we are 35 minutes away. We are limited but like you its about getting away. We LOVE the ships and we love the cruises from here too. Can't get enough of Coco Cay. Mix it up between Coco Cay, Bermuda and Canada and we love it. We do Canada just about every year now which was a goal of mine.
  11. I see the same. About $100 higher cruise fare, but $200 more OBC
  12. hooray!! what a fantastic trip this will be for you and your girls!! (and your mom )
  13. I was actually reading up on Carnival Cruise Lines earlier today and how many ships they had in their fleet, then came across the three ships they're expected to build in 2029-2031 at 230,000 gross tonnes..... The thing is...that's still 5 years away... who knows how big Royal's ships will get by then... maybe 275,000 gross tonnes (that is when they're done with the Icon class) They're supposed to have a maximum capacity of 8,000.... 8,000 people on a Carnival ship... sounds like a nightmare....
  14. Early azipods were new technology in their day. Carnival must have been bitten early on or simply decided the innovation wasn't worth it. Just like the decision to cancel Project Pinnacle, more of the same, no change, low risk seems to be Carnival's approach. Why change? We are making lots of money...

  16. According to the statement Delta put out earlier this afternoon, and the Points Guy (who I follow on IG), Delta only cancelled 1% of flights today and by tomorrow, they said they should be back to normal operations. Fingers crossed that by this time tomorrow, I’ll be having a margarita at Margaritaville. I am still keeping my backup flight just in case.
  17. @WAAAYTOOO What you say is accurate. I spoke today with a RC customer service representative and they confirmed that for the current OBC offer you cannot also leverage the Balc/Suite NRD Crown and Anchor offer. From my experience, the total cruise pricing with the promotional credit is generally more ~$100 more pp but offers significantly more OBC than the amount the C&A benefit offers. Below I pictured an example of the difference in an upcoming sailing. Also, you seem to be a very seasoned cruiser. I hope to one day have cruised as much as you.
  18. Haha! Proof that she once ate at the Windjammer!! Honestly, when I sailed on Carnival Spirit in 2016 and Celebrity Infinity/Ovation of the Seas back in 2017, they had complimentary lobster in the MDR's!! At least I think it was complimentary.... we ordered lobster and didn't have to pay. (Maybe someone in our party had paid beforehand?) And you could order as much as you wanted!!!! Now they skimp on everything. Lobster has an upcharge...and the portion is very small!!! not trying to give Royal any ideas... but I wouldn't be surprised if they charged for bread in the future...
  19. It depends on whose name is attached to each of the offers. If both you and your wife each have one of those offers, then yes - you would be able to “split up” and each book one of the offers with one of your friends as the second guest. If both offers are in the same person’s name then it wouldn’t work b/c one of the passengers in each cabin must be the “owner” of the offer. However, even if you cannot use both of the offers for the same sailing, you may be able to get a second cabin at a casino discount. This is one of those YMMV situations. I’ve never tried to use this kind of discount but I’ve read of others who have.
  20. Not specifically related to these sailings, but I have been reading others’ accounts of the “sale” that includes fairly substantial OBC as a booking bonus. In those comments many have noted that in order to get the best price, you must omit the C&A number b/c the C&A “discount” actually causes the OBC to be reduced to a point that the overall fare is higher with the C&A discount. So be sure that you price your cruise both with and without your C&A number entered to see which one yields the best overall value.
  21. Typical inconsistency. Had GK pizza for the first time on Wonder last week and it was pretty crispy, especially around the edges. Sorrento's continues to surprise me with how crispy it has become. Still just a late night snack for me with limited options but I've had no problem with it recently for what it is.
  22. My wife asked me the same thing, I told her if it’s cheaper tomorrow I will rebuy and cancel the original We currently have the Refreshement at 30% off which was 29.99 per person I’m assuming it will go to 27.99 if that’s what the votes end up being
